A Favorite Quote of Mine is….

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:26 pm by Gina

Hey everyone!

I hope you had a great Memorial Day Weekend. Summer is so close I can taste it! I am actually very excited for Finish the Sentence today, because I love quotes! I know that most things are much more complicated than a sentence or two, but it’s always fun (At least for me. Big freak.) to find a quote that perfectly describes your mood or a certain situation or whatever you are experiencing.

A favorite quote of mine is “To be loved is to be known fully. To be known and still to be loved.” from the book Speak Softly, She Can Hear

I’ve always really loved this quote because when I think of love, this is usually what comes to mind. You love someone not for what they can give you, but for who they truly are, the good and the bad parts. The quote doesn’t necessarily have to be a happy one, just one that has always resonated with you. From a book, movie, or a song, whatever you want!

Have a good week!
Jess

I love so many quotes…. So I’ll share more than one. I don’t know who all of them are by, but here goes:

“We all want to fall in love. Why? Because that experience makes us feel completely alive. Where every sense is heightened, every emotion is magnified, our everyday reality is shattered and we are flying into the heavens. It may only last a moment, an hour, an afternoon. But that doesn’t diminish its value. Because we are left with memories that we treasure for the rest of our lives.”

“The most important thing in life is your family. There are days you love them, and others you don’t, but in the end they’re the people you always come home to. Sometimes it’s the family you’re born into and sometimes it’s the one you make for yourself.”

“Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it’s at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help yourself, the second is to help others.”

“When I say “I Love You,” It is not because I want you or because I can’t have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love who you are, what you do, and how you try. I’ve seen your kindness and your strength. I’ve seen the best and worst of you, and I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are.”

    Okayyyy I’ll stop! : )

Well because I am super into music, I love lyrics to songs. For me, songs really bring out what emotions or thoughts I am feeling or thinking in a particular situation. So…there are tons of song lyrics I love, but here are just a couple I will share:

I’m alone, on my own, and that’s all I know
I’ll be strong, I’ll be wrong, oh but life goes on
I’m just a girl, trying to find a place in
    This world—Taylor Swift

I’ll watch the night turn light blue,
but it’s not the same without you
Because it takes two to whisper quietly
    The silence isn’t so bad,
until I look at my hands and feel sad.
Because the space between my fingers are right where yours fit perfectly.—Vanilla Twilight

Take a sad song and make it better. Remember, to let her into your heart…then you can start…to make it better.—-The Beatles

“God gave us memories so that we might have roses in December”
